IoD Commission: Business. A Force for Good?
A rigorous, evidence‑based examination of the role and impact of business in society
About the Commission:
The Institute of Directors has established a Commission to examine the role of business in society and to assess the extent to which business is – and is not – acting as a force for good in today’s world.
The Commission will undertake a rigorous, evidence‑based assessment of how businesses create economic, social and environmental value, as well as the factors, behaviours and incentives that have limited or undermined positive outcomes.
Its work will conclude with practical recommendations for directors, boards and policy‑makers on how businesses can generate sustainable long‑term prosperity, strengthen public trust and contribute positively to society and the planet.
