A trustworthy business community which you can rely on
In this difficult period of economic uncertainty, it is hard to tell what the coming years will hold for UK business. However, one thing is certain- the IoD will continue to support its members by encouraging entrepreneurial activity and promoting responsible business practice for the benefit of all 30,000+ members and the business community as a whole.
Founded in 1903, the IoD represents and sets standards for business leaders across the nation. We also remain deeply proud of our Royal Charter which stays at the forefront of everything we do as an organisation.
You will find us in the heart of all major cities, representing your point of view as a business leader both locally and nationally. Here in the East of England, our mission is to ensure that your views are taken into account when the government is reviewing policy, legislation or seeking the opinions of the wider business community.

New Year, New Energy
The IoD is more than just an Institute. It is about connecting, inspiring, learning, growing your business and developing as a business leader.
Chris Cliffe, Director of CJC Procurement Ltd and IoD Norfolk Procurement Ambassadors says,
“Joining, or re-joining the IoD in 2019 would be a great move as there is new energy across the county, and it is time to get involved. Whilst organisations should be joining and supporting the newly re-energised Chamber of Commerce under Chris Sargisson’s inspirational leadership, IoD Norfolk is here for individual directors and senior leaders of those organisations. You should consider the personal benefits for yourselves in joining an internationally recognised Chartered Institute which supports senior leaders in becoming the best that they can be. Check the eligibility criteria and come along to an event near you this year and find out more, and meet other business leaders. Who knows where intelligent conversations with intelligent people may lead.”
Furthermore, in this time of tremendous change, the IoD is a trustworthy business community which you can rely on.
So if you haven’t already, why not get in touch? We would love to meet you.
