How would you describe your business to a total stranger?
Buckingham Futures specialises in connecting talented professionals with opportunities in the field of environmental health. Our mission is to match skilled individuals with organisations that prioritize environmental well-being, public health, and sustainable practices.
In our recruitment process, we partner with both candidates and employers, understanding the unique skills, qualifications, and values of each. For job seekers, we aim to find roles that align with their expertise and passion for environmental health. On the other side, we collaborate with organisations committed to fostering a healthier environment and community, helping them identify and onboard top-tier talent.
Whether it’s placing environmental scientists, public health experts, or professionals in regulatory compliance, we take pride in contributing to the growth of the environmental health sector. Our goal is not just to fill positions but to facilitate meaningful connections that drive positive impact.

Outside of business, I volunteers with a number of schools, colleges and universities providing careers guidance, CV & interview technique workshops, and conducting mock interviews with those looking to embark on a career within the environmental health sector.
I also offers work experience programs and opportunities at Buckingham Futures for students, young people from disadvantaged backgrounds and adults with learning difficulties to help achieve their potential by giving them an insight into the world of work.
What do you do outside work? (hobbies/interests):
I am always looking for opportunities to learn and grow. I’m really into mindfulness, reading, writing and walking. It’s a great way for me to unwind and stay active.
Staying active is very important to me. I enjoy going to the gym 6x a week. It helps me maintain a healthy balance in life.

Since 2017
Why did you join the IoD?
I believe in the power of community, and the IoD seemed like an excellent platform for meaningful interactions and collaborations.
I wanted to be part of a community that values active engagement and fosters a supportive environment.
Networking is essential to me, and IoD appeared to be a vibrant community with members who have diverse experiences.
I joined because I was excited about the prospect of connecting with professionals and learning from their unique perspectives.
Which parts of IoD membership do you value most?
The IoD offers specific member benefits, such as workshops, events, and resources which I found highly valuable for my personal and professional development.
What is the most important issue for the government to tackle?
The most important issues for the government to tackle are Environmental Sustainability and Poverty Alleviation.
Mitigating the impacts of climate change, transitioning to sustainable energy sources, and implementing environmental conservation policies should high priorities.
The governments should also strive to create policies that reduce income inequality, provide social safety nets, and promote economic opportunities for everyone.
What do you hope to be doing in 10 years’ time?
I am eager to embrace the challenges and opportunities that the next 10 years will bring. I look forward to contributing my skills and expertise, growing as a professional, and making a meaningful impact in the environmental sector.
