Business Leaders Gather for Festive Fun to Raise Money for East Anglian Air Ambulance

The Institute of Directors (IoD) Norfolk annual Christmas lunch held on 11th December 2018 was once again a great success, raising over 850 pounds for this year’s chosen charity, East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA). Kindly sponsored by Price Bailey LLP and with the usual mix of fun, excitement and fascinating speakers, it was truly a day to remember.

Over 120 business Leaders came together at the beautiful Assembly House located in the heart of Norwich, where in the beautiful surroundings they enjoyed the finest company and a fabulous three course Christmas lunch created by the skilled Assembly House team.

This year’s speaker was the inspirational Alex Paske, who was famously nominated Sunday Times Sportswoman of the Year 2018 in the Grassroots Category. She spoke about her experience setting up her own business, her strong resilience to the challenges that she faced, and the invaluable lessons that she has learned throughout her journey so far.

Guests were also joined by Joanna Dew, Director of Fundraising for the East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA), whose skilled medical team delivers emergency care in high- performance helicopters across Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Suffolk. She spoke about their latest drive to deliver first aid courses to local business by offering life-saving training from their front line crew;

“The East Anglian Air Ambulance was delighted to be IoD Norfolk's Charity this year. The event was brilliant and it was great to be able to share our story with the delegates and to talk about our new Workplace First Aid Training Courses”, she said.

IoD Norfolk were delighted to share the Christmas spirit with fellow members and other directors, who are already looking forward to a repeat of the festive fun next year.
