Talking about the conference Sue Grindrod, Chief Executive of The Royal Albert Dock Liverpool said: “2018 is a pivotal year for us, to have Royal recognition for the role that Albert Dock continues to play in heritage tourism fills me with real pride. The Dock has long been celebrated as the catalyst for the regeneration of Liverpool and I am so privileged to be able to share the Dock’s story with the IoD at this event.”

The Royal Albert Dock Liverpool will also be sponsoring the conference’s drinks reception which starts at 17.15.

Sue is also Chair and Director of Liverpool Waterfront Business Partnership CIC where her role is to oversee the business plan and long term strategy that will establish Liverpool Waterfront as one of the leading waterfronts in the world.

The Royal Albert Dock Liverpool will also be sponsoring the conference’s drinks reception which starts at 17.15.

Another recent addition to the speaking line up is Emer Coleman, Technology Engagement Director for Co-op Digital. Emer is the former Digital Projects Director with City Hall, London where she established The London Data Store. The conference will coincide with the city’s International Business Festival and will intertwine with the event, allowing delegates to visit the Festival during breaks, whilst also incorporating the closing speech of the day into the agenda.

The event will depict and bring together regional organisations who have a strong reason, driver or passion for designing and delivering their business in the way that they do. The conference has been curated follow the theme developed by Simon Sinek in his book (and TED Talk) ‘Start with Why’, looking to business leaders that demonstrate a strong sense of ‘why’ to talk about their drivers and how their businesses operate differently.

The IoD’s North West Regional Director, Claire Ebrey said: “Following yesterday’s announcement, it is a real coup that we have secured Sue Grindrod to speak at our north west conference. We are delighted that both she and Emer Coleman will be presenting their inspirations and experiences to our business leaders.”

The event takes place on 20 June 2018 from 08.45-19.00. Delegates can book their place at the IoD North West Annual Conference through the IoD website and will receive a full festival pass to the International Business Festival.
