The revitalised Restaurant has moved to its new location in 116 Pall Mall, here are four good reasons to pay it a visit.
1. Complimentary bubbly
To celebrate the relaunch of the Restaurant, members are encouraged to take advantage of a sparkling promotional offer throughout the month of June: book a table for dinner and each guest will receive a free glass of prosecco on arrival. Bottoms up!
2. Wine list
If you thought the Restaurant’s wine list was already extensive, the establishment’s general manager Serge Pradier promises an even greater selection for the move to the Morning and Spears rooms. “We have a passion for good quality wine,” he says. “In particular, we will be expanding our champagne and sparkling wine list.”
3. Modern British fare
New executive chef Andrew Doherty’s mouth-watering menu will celebrate the very best of modern British food with an emphasis on fresh, seasonal produce. Whether dining from the a la carte or set menu, expect first-class dishes such as pan-fried trout with razor clam and samphire, Devon crab with charred cucumber, and of course the classic fillet of beef with oxtail pastilla and port jus.
4. One becomes two
The advantage of moving the Restaurant to its new, brighter premises is that it now becomes a defined destination in its own right and is separated from the members’ lounge in the Carlton room. “The Carlton room becomes a better and larger space for members,” says Serge Pradier. “There are 11 more tables for meetings, while the lounge menu remains the same.”
The Restaurant has moved from the Carlton Room, to the Morning and Spears room adjacent to the grand staircase. This brighter, airy space overlooking Waterloo Place is a more inviting spot to dine and watch the world go by, creating a prime destination and dedicated restaurant space at the heart of 116 Pall Mall.
