A DAY IN THE LIFE

What time does your alarm go off?
Every day I get up at the same time – usually around 7:30am. I am a firm believer that discipline and routine is essential to having a productive day. Yoga is a vital part of my morning ritual. Even when I am short on time, I try to devote at least 15 minutes to yoga each day. It’s a life saver in times of stress, helps keep me grounded and sets me up for a good day ahead.
I’m a strong believer in the importance of good self-presentation, my beauty regime is another essential part of my morning routine. The rest of my morning is usually devoted to family time, getting the kids ready for school and planning my own day ahead.
What are you responsible for?
As a modern-day woman, I have plenty of responsibilities varying from domestic chores such as ironing, to rental property refurbishments and client photo shoots. No day is the same for me.
How did you get your job?
I have always been the type to create my own jobs.
Describe your typical day?
My typical day consists of client meetings across different, beautiful locations in London (one of the many perks of my job). My evenings are usually dedicated to my family, friends and various business and networking events.
Most memorable moment?
It is hard to pick a single memorable moment from my life. I compare my life to an art-house film, every day is unique and memorable in its own way.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given?
“Follow your dreams and never give up.”
What are the best things about your job?
My favourite aspect of my job has to be the ability to share in the happiness and success of my clients. There are few things more rewarding than seeing the positive impact that my work has on the lives of my clients.
How do you unwind after work?
I love to spend my free time with my loved ones – my family and friends.
Where do you go for personal &/or professional advice?
Due to the nature of my business I am a surrounded by many brilliant coaches and mentors. I am very lucky to have these people and be able to use them as a sounding board whenever needed. I believe that having a mentor is essential to the success of any entrepreneur; after all, you cannot achieve success all by yourself.
What do you attend/read/watch to get ideas and inspiration?
I am addicted to self-development. I regularly attend seminars, networking events and ensure that I am always reading something that inspires me to become a better person, professionally and personally.
How do you stay productive throughout the day?
Coffee is a must! I also like to take frequent breaks outside, to soak up some much-needed sunshine and enjoy the many parks that London has to offer.
What would have been your alternative career?
From the ages of 5-20 my parents had me taking piano lessons. I’d even have to walk for ages in the snow to get to classes, so a likely alternative career could have been a professional piano player.
