Our Property special interest group held an engaging and lively panel discussion on 12th October.
The event was hosted by Trowers & Hamlins LLP and examined future trends in the property sector, particularly regarding issues such as Brexit and ongoing technological change.
Our yearly property group panel events are always well-attended, with the highest quality speakers discussing the latest developments affecting the property sector. Our keynote speaker was Liz Peace CBE, the former CEO of the British Property Federation who now has a portfolio career including chairing the Park Royal Regeneration project and LandAid. Our other speakers included Katy Warrick from Savills and Sara Bailey and Eileen Duncan from our hosts Trowers and Hamlins.
We examined changes in conventional office spaces, affordable housing, and the need to accommodate the much-needed millennial workforce in our dynamic city. There was also soul-searching for the property sector in the aftermath of the Grenfell disaster as well as reassuring projections that the impact of Brexit will not be as severe as the global financial crisis of 2007-2008.

Our next property networking event will take place in the spring and we look forward to seeing you there, as well as at some of our other events in the coming months.
