IoD Manchester - The Importance of Cyber Security

17 Nov 2020
Manchester Hall, Manchester

With cyber-attacks, data breaches, loss of consumer services an everyday occurrence and with stricter privacy laws around the world, it has never been more important for business owners and managers to ensure their business is cyber resilient.

This half day conference in partnership with CyberPRO®, offers practical advice on how to build a more resilient business and to hear about what the government and law enforcement is doing to help tackle the issues facing businesses, with a keynote speaker from GCHQ.

Attendees will hear from several security leaders including an ethical hacker, to gain knowledge of how a company can defend itself, test its defences and what can be done if the worst should happen. They will develop an understanding of where funds should be placed to find the most effective balance between technological controls and staff training, in order to build a more resilient organisation.

Attendees can present questions to a panel of cybersecurity specialists, and network with other business leaders over breakfast and lunch.
