IoD Berkshire: Cliveden Breakfast - How Does a SME Design and Deliver Customer Experience

13 Sep 2019
Cliveden House, Taplow

We hold four Cliveden Breakfast Club meetings a year, and each one has a specific theme to help you get the most out of the event.

There are no presentations as the content comes from attendees. However, as a special one off at this event we will have pre-recorded video address from Award winning author Brian Sollis.

Brian Sollis, award winning author of book “X: The Experience When Business Meets Design” has kindly agreed to introduce the topic for September Cliveden Breakfast Club through a pre-recorded video address. Brian advocated the concept of customer experience management taking a leapfrog jump from the popular concept of customer relationship management (CRM).

Brian Solis is a one of the world’s leading digital anthropologists and futurists who has been called “one of the greatest digital analysts of our time.” Brian is also a world-renowned keynote speaker and an award-winning author of seven best-selling books including, X: The Experience When Business Meets Design, What’s the Future of Business, The End of Business as Usual. In his latest book Lifescale: How to live a more creative, productive and happy life, Brian tackles the struggles of living in a world rife with constant digital distractions.

With a loyal online audience of over 700,000 people, his work makes him a sought-after thought-leader to leading brands, celebrities such as Oprah, Shaq and Ashton Kutcher and over 1,000 start-ups around the world.

Converting the gaps into opportunities on how companies operate and how people are evolving, creates digital disruption. Kodak did not fail because it had a bad proposition. It failed because Kodak business model became counter intuitive to how customers behave and make decisions now.

A major digital transformation is taking place right now, and customer experience is the number one driver for advanced digital transformation. Customer experience is the sum of all engagements a customer has with your company throughput the life cycle. As a SME, how do you make this customer experience unique, coherent and wholesome?
