IoD Essex: Alternative Ways to Fill Skills Shortages in Your Company

28 Feb 2019
LITTLE EASTON MANOR, Dunmow

Companies in Essex are finding it harder than ever to recruit skilled workers, with the majority of businesses struggling to make the hires they need.

Skills shortages were reaching “critical levels” in the last quarter of 2018, putting future growth at risk with a record number of firms reporting recruitment difficulties.

With many companies competing for the same pool of talent, what can employers do to expand their reach beyond what are viewed as traditional employment markets and recruit the staff they need from alternative areas?

IoD Essex is delighted to bring together a panel of experts to offer solutions to this problem and give employers some alternative ideas to help ensure their business growth is not limited by a lack of skilled employees in their company.
