IoD Hertfordshire invites you to a Business Breakfast Briefing with GDPR expert Richard McBarnet, Managing Director of Lumina Technologies (Commercial Business in the Community Winner in the 2017 Hertfordshire Business Awards) and Andrew Scheer from the Marketing Centre
GDPR will come into force on 25th May 2018. Brexit will not affect the commencement of the Regulation, and any company that continues trading with EU companies once the UK has left the EU will be bound by the regulations anyway. So it is crucial that all companies prepare themselves in order to be GDPR compliant by the end of May.
As EU citizens, GDPR will afford us greater privacy and protection against data breaches. But in order to protect ourselves and others, companies need to get to grips with many aspects of it.
In this briefing Richard McBarnet will explain what GDPR means, why we all need to be compliant, and, more importantly, how you can get your organisation ready for the rule changes, with practical solutions for your company. Richard will also go through a checklist during the presentation, where for those that have already started implementing, provides an excellent opportunity to make sure you are on the right track. Andrew will go on to give the marketing perspective and how this legislation affects marketeers.

Andrew ScheerAndrew has over 25 years experience in marketing and is currently Marketing Director at the Marketing Centre and Bluedog Digital. He has developed and executed highly successful marketing strategies within blue-chip and SME environments including Sony, Lloyds and Barclays.
