The IoD’s regional structure is changing
The Institute of Directors will be making changes to its regional structure in England. We are pleased to announce eight of the twelve new chairs who will be working with us to improve the way we connect and support directors across England.
We are proud to connect established leaders and aspiring directors through local professional networks, events and development opportunities where they live and work. Supported by the IoD team, this work is made possible by our dedicated, region-based member volunteers who drive local engagement and champion the voice of directors across their regions.
We’re introducing smaller regions, backed by increased investment, to better support our regional volunteers and members. The new regional structure sees England shaped into 12 regions, each with a new volunteer Region Chair to shape the activities of the regional leadership groups. They will help us provide more tailored support, strengthen local engagement, and create more opportunities for collaboration and connection. As these changes take shape, members can be reassured that our focus remains the same: supporting you, strengthening local networks, and creating valuable opportunities to connect and grow, both personally and professionally.
The remaining four new Region Chairs to be recruited have reached the final stages of the appointment process. Once we have the full set confirmed, the new region structure for the IoD in England will go live and we will be in touch with more detail about what these changes mean for your area.
But in the meantime, we are delighted to announce the eight confirmed Region Chairs. We’ll share more information about them when we provide our next update on these changes.
