Winners announced for IoD East of England Director of the Year Awards

The Institute of Directors has today announced the winners for its annual Director of the Year Awards for the East of England. The categories cover organisations of different sizes and sectors, and, for the second year running, the nominations include an award for Corporate Social Responsibility.

David Sales, Regional Chairman for IoD East of England, said:

It is important that we celebrate the exemplary leaders who are doing great work, often unheeded, across the East of England. Through these awards, the IoD aims to champion both commercial success and responsible leadership, and reward individuals who display the qualities of professionalism, diligence and creativity that we think inspire employees and get results.”

Young Director of the Year

Early Stage Business Director of the Year

Winner: Tom Fletcher, Managing Director, Cambridge Jackson Fire & Security

Director of the Year (Small Company) – Turnover up to £9.99M

Winner: Charlie Dalton, Managing Director, Smart Garden Offices

Highly Commended: Alison Shadrack, Managing Director, Adia PR

Director of the Year (Medium Company) – Turnover from £10 up to £99.99M

Winner: Donald McGarva, CEO, Amino Technologies

Highly Commended: Rory Fitzgerald, Managing Director, G P F Lewis Plc


Family Business Director of the Year

Winner: Tom Davis, Managing Director, Davis Construction

Highly Commended: Stuart Grainger, Managing Director, FWD-IP Ltd

International Director of the Year

Winner: Steven Pearce, Managing Director, Omega Ingredients

Highly Commended: Mike Watson, Managing Director, Tube Tech International

Public/Third Sector Director of the Year

Winner: Alex Till , Chief Executive, Menta The Suffolk Enterprise Agency

Highly Commended: Christian Robinson, Chief Executive Officer, Essex Police Sports Association

CSR Director of the Year

Winner: Ian White, Managing Director, Beckett Investment Management Group Limited

Director of the Year – East of England Region
