Last call for mentoring programme!
Following the success of last year’s mentoring programme with University of York, we’re looking for ten IoD members to participate in this year’s mentoring programme with the university, helping students while they progress through their studies and the IoD’s new Tomorrow’s Director course. The programme is to start mid-November and concludes late spring 2023.
Participation will involve:
- Contact with your mentee for the duration of the programme via email
- 6 virtual meetings with your mentee
The students typically appreciate help figuring out their career choices post university and preparing for job search and selection. The time commitment is relatively light and will mainly occur from November to the Easter holidays. We’re looking to get started as soon as possible! Directors in the Midlands have found this rewarding and informative, as it gives them contact with a generation of educated young people that can help shape views on changing attitudes to business, employment and consumerism.
