Meet your new chair

I was appointed as branch chair in August 2021. The branch covers Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Shropshire and has around 220 members.

In my day job, I run an outsourced HR Business, Clover HR.

I have around three decades of experience in managing business growth, change and development in HR, working for companies including Ford, British Airways, PwC, DHL and DPD. I am an Associate Lecturer at Warwick Business School and was previously a lay member of the Birmingham and Bristol Employment Tribunal panels.

As you probably know, the IoD supports members to become better directors. My job is to help you by providing connections and professional development opportunities while making sure that your voice is heard by those in power. The IoD has an influential voice in the corridors of power and I will make sure that Worcester and the Marches gets its voice heard.

Let’s come together as directors to make a difference

IoD members come from diverse backgrounds but we have several things in common. We all want to run successful organisations but, crucially, we also want to make a difference by showing that better directors are a force for good in the world.

I want to put good governance at the forefront of the directors’ agenda and to demonstrate that IoD members are leading the way in meeting the scrutiny and expectations of modern society.

I am proud to be selected as your chair but now, it’s over to you. I have reached out to local members for initial conversations and to hear your thoughts and views. I’m very encouraged by what I’ve heard so far but we need to collaborate further.
