IoD team gets green fingered with New Place Hotel

The Institute of Directors is supporting the 100 Tree Challenge with Hampshire hotel and conference venue New Place.

IoD South’s Lesley Bennett and Polly Laughton joined New Place’s Jon Fisher to plant a tree, as part of a campaign to promote biodiversity and raise money for charity.

Trees are purchased from Mayfield Nurseries, a subsidiary of mental health charity Solent Mind, and planted in the ground of the hotel and conference venue, which is located between Southampton and Portsmouth.

As part of its aim to preserve the UK’s environment and biodiversity, the hotel plants a tree on the estate in the company name for any meeting booking with 20 or more delegates,
