Non-Executive Chair Position with Hambrooks
Are you an experienced Director looking to share your knowledge with other businesses?
Or have you recently retired from a Board-level role but not ready to hang up your suit just yet?
Hambrooks needs you!
In 2020, the Hambrooks group celebrated 50 years in business. During that time, we have won RHS Medals and built a reputation for quality horticultural work. In order to ensure we are around for another 50 years (at least) we are now looking to build a strong Senior Management Team, guided by someone with proven board-level experience.
You will ideally have had at least five years working in a Director role, preferably in a retail or horticultural organisation. You will have a track record of meeting targets and particularly in supporting others to achieve theirs. You will have an eye for details but a head for the bigger picture, and you will be an excellent communicator.
We anticipate the role will require one day per week, to be reviewed after six months in post, but this is certainly negotiable for the right candidate. We would expect attendance in person (at our Curdridge head office) for SMT meetings but other working arrangements can be flexible.
An interest in gardening would be helpful but not essential; we know we’ll grow on you either way!
For more information, please read the full job description which can be found under the downloads on the right hand side of this page and browse our website Hambrooks.
To apply, please send your CV as soon as possible, in confidence, to our General Manager, Jenny Ryder, at [email protected].
We anticipate the recruitment process will start with an informal exploratory meeting with some of our key staff, at a time to suit all. We would hope to have the right candidate in post by September 2022, if not sooner.
