IoD appoints new Hampshire and Isle of Wight chair
The Institute of Directors (IoD) has appointed experienced business consultant Matthew Wallis as its new Hampshire and Isle of Wight branch chair.
Matthew succeeds Aileen Ryan who stepped down from the role earlier this year.
Matthew founded and owns Malukis International Ltd, a business transformation consultancy based in Havant. His expertise is in enabling global organisations to implement creative sales, marketing and commercial strategies to deliver business turnaround, growth and profitability.
Matthew said: “I am delighted to be appointed as the Chair for Hampshire and IoW branch and very much look forward to continuing the great work the committee and our Ambassadors. With Covid now in the rear-view mirror it’s very refreshing to be able to meet people again face to face and make that human connection.
However, I suspect meetings will continue to be of a hybrid nature involving web and in person meetings. With this in mind we have a rich mixture of both face to face and also on line meetings planned for the rest of the year and into 2023 at which I hope to meet many of the current and new members of the IoD. in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
I would like to thank Aileen Ryan my predecessor, for all her support, along with Polly, Lesley and my colleague Ambassadors, for all they have done in shaping the branch. ”
Faisal Khan, chair of IoD South, said: “It’s super to have Matthew on board. He brings a wealth of expertise in business transformation which will be invaluable to our members as he supports and inspires them to become better directors.”
