IoD South West appoints education and skills ambassador

The Institute of Directors has appointed Dr Daniel Matthews as an education and skills ambassador for the South West.

Daniel’s expertise is in strategic management and leadership. He is regional manager at ECG Facilities Services, a UK-wide facilities management service provider.

Daniel joins Peter Doyle who is also an IoD education and skills ambassador. Together they will champion education and professional development for directors across the South West, including the Tomorrow’s Director Programme delivered by the IoD.

IoD ambassadors enable greater connectivity, create influence, and drive professional development opportunities while giving the Institute its all-important local voice.

“My experience has taught me that many directors are not aware of the educational opportunities available to them. I plan to share my own learning journey, and associated experiences, to energise and invigorate IoD members to further their education and skills.”

The IoD’s Tomorrow’s Director programme covers a range of business topics including corporate governance, leadership, ethics and risk.
