IoD South West shines spotlight on company resilience
Organisational resilience and strong company directors will come under the spotlight at a special conference organised by the Institute of Directors (IoD).
IoD South West is staging the event to provide members – particularly those who are Chartered Directors – with the opportunity to learn from leading experts about the need for resilience as businesses rebuild and recover post-pandemic.
The IoD’s Chartered Director programme is an internationally recognised qualification. The conference will bring together Chartered Directors and those currently on the programme to Chartered Director status.
‘Governing with resilience in an uncertain world’ is being held on 11 May at the Westonbirt National Arborteum near Tetbury, south Gloucestershire.
Conference attendees will take part in a series of workshops before a dinner which will be addressed by the IoD Director General Jon Geldart.
The conference will also hear from Dr Roger Barker, IoD Director of Policy and Corporate Governance, who will explore how strong boards make resilient organisations. He will be joined by Chris Paton, former Senior Strategy Adviser on Afghanistan to the Ministry of Defence, who will address the importance of strong decision-making by boards.
