IoD appoints Paul Durrant as Essex chair

The Institute of Directors (IoD) has appointed Paul Durrant to lead its Essex branch.

The IoD is a thriving membership community for directors that provides professional development, valuable connections and influence.

Paul said: “Having spent my whole career in sales before launching my own business in 2014, I am now focused on helping SMEs to enable their sales and grow their business. Given the wide-ranging and well-documented challenges facing businesses, it has never been more important for directors to support one another.”

“Paul is the latest key appointment to our East of England team following the arrival of Barry Dowman as Suffolk chair. We are delighted to have his skill and experience on the team as we work together to build connections, promote responsible business and campaign for a better deal for all directors.”
Biplab Rakshi
Regional Chair

IoD members range from start-up entrepreneurs to directors of large SMEs and international companies, as well as the public and third sectors.

Paul succeeds Alison Shadrack as chair of IoD Essex. He was previously branch vice-chair.

Better directors for a better world

The IoD supports directors and business leaders across the UK and beyond to learn, network and build successful, responsible businesses.
