What is Corporate Governance and how has it developed?

21 Feb 2017

Corporate governance is "the system by which businesses are directed and controlled".

There is a bewildering quantity of guidance currently available that encompasses the relationship between the board, management, shareholders and other stakeholders. To help you understand how corporate governance affects you and your business, we link you to all the landmark reports that have developed over time through a series of reviews and committees, and more, along with our own analysis and guidance.

Alternatively, visit our Corporate Governance Hub which is available to both members and the public. This discusses what the IoD is doing to promote corporate governance for better business.
