IoD East of England welcomes Members to the Bradfield Centre

The Bradfield Centre is a collaborative entrepreneurial community of technology start-ups and scale-ups. Housed in a stunning building at the heart of the Cambridge Science Park, The Bradfield Centre is designed to appeal to entrepreneurs, researchers and students, and is home to innovative high growth start-up and scale-up businesses. IoD East of England is delighted to have set up a regional office at The Bradfield Centre and plan to be hosting local and regional events at the venue over the coming years.

IoD members are welcome to visit the Lakeside Café and communal working space within the Atrium section of The Bradfield Centre which features complimentary wi-fi and a relaxing outdoor seating area.

When visiting The Bradfield Centre

  • Announce your arrival at reception in the main foyer
  • A member of the IoD team will be called down to welcome you
  • Find a suitable spot to work in the Atrium
  • Enjoy free Guest WiFi and purchase a drink and/or snack at the Lakeside Café (opening hours 07:30am to 4pm)


Cambridge is notorious for its lack of parking and despite having 19 spaces available for visitors, The Bradfield Centre’s parking area can sometimes be full. If this is the case then please make use of the Park and Ride or the car park at Cambridge North Station.

By car

If driving to the centre during office hours, there are limited visitors bays, available on a first come first served basis. We highly recommend you park at Cambridge North Station and take the free Science Park shuttle service which is available during morning and evening peak times. See here for more information.

Alternatively, you can park at Milton Road Park and Ride and get off at the Science Park stop. Milton Park and Ride also has EV charging facilities.

By train

Cambridge is served by two train stations.Cambridge (station code CBG), which is 20-25 minutes by car, and the closer Cambridge North (station code CMB) which is 5 minutes by car, 10 mins by bike, or a 20 minute walk. Eight Bike & Go Bikes are available at Cambridge North Station.

There is a free shuttle service to the Cambridge Science Park from Cambridge North Station during morning and evening peak times, see here for more information., or you can use Busway N.


By bus

From Cambridge Train Station take the Busway Route A from Station Road (Stop 9) and alight at the Busway Science Park. This journey will take approximately 24 minutes and is 3 stops.

From Cambridge North Station, take Busway N.


By bike

There are 288 bicycle racks at The Bradfield Centre, and we’re an official Ofo bike sharing location. Shower facilities are also available for members. Eight Bike & Go Bikes are also available at Cambridge North Station.
