Dr Hans-Christoph Hirt
Hans is a Managing Director and Head of Impact Engagement at UBS Asset Management.
In his role he leads on focused corporate engagement working closely with investment teams to drive value-enhancing outcomes that support clients’ return and impact objectives.
Prior to joining UBS, Hans was Managing Director and a member of the Board of EOS at Federated Hermes.
He began his career at the international law firm Ashurst in London, where he qualified as a solicitor, after researching and teaching corporate law at the London School of Economics.
Hans is a non-executive director of Hermes Pension Trustees Limited, the legacy pension scheme of Hermes Investment Management.
In addition to his work in the financial services sector, Hans is affiliated with the Law School at University College London (UCL) for many years. He is the author of many articles and thought pieces on a wide range of corporate governance and sustainability topics and the co-editor of a forthcoming book on Investment Management, Stewardship and Sustainability.
