Celebrating 120 years of the IoD
This year marks the 120th anniversary of the IoD. That’s 120 years of supporting, championing and amplifying the voices of our members – from Pall Mall to Peru.
We are proud of our heritage and of being granted our Royal Charter in 1906 ‘to represent the interests of members and of the business community to government and in the public arena, and to encourage and foster a climate favourable to entrepreneurial activity and wealth creation’.
The IoD is as relevant today as it was in 1903 and remains committed to being the authority on what the leaders of today and tomorrow need to become better directors. As we say, better directors build a better world.
Representing and supporting directors, the IoD is also a movement for good, shaping regional and national agendas and influencing policy makers and UK government.
To mark our 120th anniversary, we are gathering at 116 Pall Mall on Tuesday 13 June to celebrate the achievements of the IoD and our members with networking, exhibitions, speeches and a tour of our iconic building.
