IoD unveils shortlist for Chartered Director of the Year

The Institute of Directors (IoD) has named the three directors in the running for its prestigious Chartered Director of the Year award.

The Chartered Director (CDir) programme, run by the IoD, is recognised globally as the leading qualification for directors. The award recognises an outstanding business leader who scored the highest exam total of this year’s qualifying Chartered Directors.

The winner will be revealed at the IoD Chartered Director’s Summit, which is being held online on 25 November.

Shortlist:

  • Randall Black, owner, Edutainer53 Consulting – IoD International
  • Anne-Marie Mountifield, chief executive, Solent Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) – IoD South
  • Paul Mulvaney, executive director, ESB Networks – IoD Republic of Ireland

The IoD Chartered Directors’ Virtual Summit will explore how directors are dealing with leadership and governance within a fast-moving economic, social and political landscape.

Guests will hear from IoD director general Jonathan Geldart and former IoD chair Charlotte Valeur on the value of neurodiversity in the boardroom. There will also be panel discussions on the green recovery and diversity and inclusion followed by interactive breakout sessions to explore key issues and opportunities with fellow attendees.

Emma Hicks, head of professional development, IoD, said: “The IoD believes that better directors build a better world and no-one embodies this more than those who have achieved Chartered Director status. The winner of our award has excelled on their professional development journey within a cohort of highly talented business leaders. I look forward to celebrating their success at our summit.”

The Chartered Directors’ Virtual Summit is free to attend for Chartered Directors, their guests and IoD Fellows. Prices for IoD members start at £25, with non-members also welcome. All attendees will receive a digital IoD accredited CPD certificate.
