The Institute of Directors (IoD) is pleased to partner with The UK Department of Business and Trade (DBT) and The British Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong to present the ‘International Role of the Director and Board’ (IRDB) course on 5 & 6 June.

This course offers essential insights into the responsibilities of a director, with a focus on corporate governance, risk management, and the crucial role of boards in today’s business environment. You’ll gain practical knowledge of a director’s legal obligations, empowering you to tackle boardroom challenges with confidence and advance your career in corporate leadership.

  • Understand the key duties, roles, and legal responsibilities of a modern director
  • Distinguish between direction, management, and ownership
  • Enhance your knowledge of corporate governance and learn how to improve board effectiveness
  • Explore the legal frameworks for companies and the liabilities of directors in major jurisdictions, including the UK and China

We invite you to join us for the IoD’s IRDB course on 5-6 June 2025 in Hong Kong. This course is part of the IoD’s Certification in Company Direction qualification, which includes four key modules.

The IoD’s second Alumni Event will take place after the class on the evening of 5th June. The delegates of the course will have free access to the event.
