Pete Shillito appointed as new Chair of IoD South Yorkshire Branch
We are thrilled to announce Pete Shillito as the new Chair of the South Yorkshire branch of the Institute of Directors!
With a wealth of experience and a deep passion for the region, Pete is poised to be a valuable asset in leading our branch towards continued success and growth.
A graduate of Lancaster University, Pete brings over 16 years of experience in the recruitment sector within South Yorkshire. He is currently the Director of Shillito Executive Search and Adept Resourcing, specialist search and recruitment companies operating within the manufacturing and engineering sectors.
Coming from a manufacturing family, Pete has always had a passion for promoting the region. His deep understanding of the local business landscape and his commitment to economic growth make him the perfect fit for this role. Pete’s dedication to the region and its industries is evident in his professional journey and his plans for his tenure as Chair.
When asked about his role as Branch Chair Pete said:
“My plans for the South Yorkshire region are based around 2 simple things; increasing our membership and crucially, improving the offering for our members in the local area too.
“I plan to connect and collaborate with a wide range of different people and organisations and bring people onboard from sectors that might have been underrepresented within our membership in the past.
“I’d like to see us putting on a range of different and informative events across South Yorkshire and celebrating the success stories of businesses and individuals doing great things.
On a personal level, I have worked in the recruitment/search sector for 16+ years, connecting senior people within the manufacturing sector and have a huge passion for promoting our region.”
