Forging connections IoD South Yorkshire visits Sheffield Forgemasters
On May 28th, IoD South Yorkshire members were treated to a guided, behind-the-scenes tour of the iconic local business, Sheffield Forgemasters.
The visit came at an exciting time in the company’s history, as it undergoes a substantial recapitalisation programme to support its vital work for the UK defence programmes.
Members were able to network over drinks before a delegation of the Forgemasters Senior Leadership team showed us around different aspects of the huge and historic site before finishing off with a private lunch.
Feedback has been fantastic from those who joined us and got a real insight into the historical manufacturing industry in Sheffield.
