Name:
Harpal Mattu
Position/company:
Managing Director, Agilyx Group
How would you describe your business to a total stranger?
We’re a global technology enablement company. In short, we partner with tech giants Salesforce, Microsoft, Unit4, Certinia and Ceridian and ensure these platforms are delivered to your organisation to deliver benefits.
Our customer profile varies from Local Authorities, Higher Education Institutes, Not for Profit Organisations and Professional Service providers.
Your previous roles:
I’ve worked in the tech enablement space for most of my career, I’m a Qualified Accountant and holder of an MBA awarded by the Henley Management College. I have a passion for delivering tech to organisations that transforms their business.
What do you do outside work? (hobbies/interests):
I’m a keen runner and try to build fitness into my routine. I’ve taken part in several half-marathons and looking forward to the upcoming Birmingham Half, in May this year.
Other than that, I’m a regular family guy with a wife and 2 grown up boys.
How long have you been an IoD member?
I’ve been a member since June 2022.
Why did you join the IoD?
Honestly, to have an affordable base in London to work and meet clients.
Which parts of IoD membership do you value most?
From a local branch level, the networking of like minded peers.
How would you describe your branch area to a total stranger?
Fun, and not with the stuffy IoD connotations.
What is the most important issue for the government to tackle?
Youth respect in society, not totally a government problem – the role of families just seems broken in this country.
What do you hope to be doing in 10 years’ time?
Devoting more time to philanthropy.
