In conversation with your Bucks and Milton Keynes IoD branch ambassadors Rachel Dempers
This week we meet Rachel Dempers, our Membership Officer who has been a member of the IoD since November 2018.
Hi Rachel, what one thing do you hope to achieve as Membership Officer?
To help others connect with each other, and the IoD and all of its resources.
What benefits have you seen from being a member of the IoD?
Reality is very different to perception. The IoD is a fantastic resource and has great resources available. I needed legal advice which I hadn’t planned for within my first few weeks of setting up my company and I knew who I could turn to for help. I certainly don’t feel alone, and I have already met many like-minded people.
When you’re not working, what would we find you doing?
When I have some spare time after being a mum to a three year old, I relax by running, Pilates, gardening and entertaining!
If you could give your 18 year old self some advice, what would it be?
Worry less – it all comes right in the end!
