IoD launches search for an IoD Aberdeen & Grampian Branch Chair
The Institute of Directors is seeking a new Chair to become the voice of our members and business in the Aberdeen & Grampian region, starting in April 2026.
The IoD is the UK’s largest membership community for directors, with around 20,000 members in the United Kingdom. We provide professional development, valuable connections, expert advice and an influential lobbying voice.
The successful candidate will support the IoD’s commitment to creating better directors. They will focus on building inclusion, diversity and the highest standards of corporate governance while attracting new members to the Institute.
IoD members range from the private, public and third sectors. This includes businesses of various sizes, from start-up entrepreneurs to board members of large international organisations. We also support aspiring directors as they move through their journey into directorship.
The voluntary position, for a three-year term, is open to IoD members or those who live or work in the Aberdeen & Grampian region. Applicants must have a demonstrable track record in board roles with established business interests and a strong network of contacts.
The IoD Aberdeen & Grampian branch has an active committee of other members who will support the chair. There will also be an opportunity for the new chair to add to the existing committee members.
