IoD City of London in the community delivering donated PPE to St Bart's Hospital
On 24th April, Alderman Alastair King and John McLean OBE, Chair and Vice Chair of IoD City of London delivered 50,000 much needed items of PPE to St Bart’s Hospital in London.
The PPE has kindly been donated from Mayor Sun of the Yicheng financial district of Beijing through the CCCUK initiative with Bank of China. They worked alongside the Lord Mayor Alderman William Russell and Lady Mayoress Hilary Russell and Caroline Wright, CEO of The Lord Mayor’s Appeal delivering PPE across London and throughout the UK. In total, nearly 2 million items of PPE have now been delivered across the UK to the NHS, hospitals and carers through this vital initiative.
