IoD launches Certificate in Company Direction in Greece
The Institute of Directors (IoD) was founded in 1903 in the UK, since when it has been helping directors to maximise their potential, while encouraging governments to foster an environment in which business will thrive.
As an IoD member you are part of a highly influential international membership organisation and enjoy a wide range of business benefits and services, including access to the IoD’s prestigious premises at 116 Pall Mall, London. IoD is also a founding member of ECODA, the European Confederation of Directors’ Associations and is setting up an ever-increasing number of international chapters around the world to support directors in their deliberations.
Dr Yanos Michopoulos, a long standing IoD course tutor and experienced Board Director is leading our efforts to establish IoD’s presence in Greece. As a first step, he is organising for the IoD Certificate programmes for Directors to be delivered in Greece, starting with the Role of Director and the Board in May 2022 and Leadership for Directors in June 2022. Strategy and Finance modules will follow in 3Q22,
IoD certificate courses are underpinned by IoD’s Directors Competency Framework and are externally examined and accredited. Their aim would be to help the government, local stakeholders, and business to improve standards of corporate governance, and to improve the foundations for economic growth and development in Greece.
Following the introduction of these courses, a proper IoD Greece chapter will be established to enable IoD members in Greece, from right across the business community, private companies, and the public sector to come together in an environment that would inspire, inform, and stimulate discussion with peers. If you would like to get involved with IoD Greece, please do not hesitate to contact us. We look forward to hearing from you.
