Tell us about your background

I’ve grown up on the Isle of Man and had a keen interest in Finance, grown over my various experiences here on island. The experience has helped me start my degree in Finance at the University of Manchester. In my first year of University, I also co-founded Arcube, a digital asset business involved in onboarding brands and corporates into web3 strategically. Clients include Etihad Airways and Red Bull Racing.

You recently attended the 120 year celebration in Pall Mall. Tell us about your experience.

The Pall Mall event was a great for both members and those looking to join. The IoD flagship building was stunning and great for hotdesking if I find myself back in London. My favourite part of the event had to be speed networking, 2 minutes to introduce yourself and be introduced to. I met people from lots of different industries but was probably the only one from the Isle of Man!

What are your career ambitions over the next few years and how will IoD membership support you in achieving this?

This upcoming academic year will be my final year of my undergraduate degree, and our team will continue to scale Arcube throughout this time. We will also be starting to develop our corporate identity and employ more management to better target specific areas such as marketing and technical development. The IoD’s resources on CPD and company direction, as well as the events for gaining insights from other fellow directors, will be vital to best steer Arcube’s vision and mission.

What would you say to other students and aspiring directors thinking about joining IoD?

The IoD is beneficial for all current or aspiring directors – regardless of whether you run a business, are looking for exposure to learn from company decision makers or developing skills like networking. I suggest you look at the resources and events you gain access to as a member – you won’t be disappointed!
