IoD Isle of Man welcomes Ravenscroft as new branch sponsor
A new branch sponsor for the Institute of Directors Isle of Man will enable it to continue providing local business leaders with high quality business events, training and networking.
The branch, which has over 270 members across all sectors of the island’s business community, has partnered with investment services company Ravenscroft, which last year opened its Isle of Man office.
“This is fantastic news for our members as it will give the branch resources to continue to host informative connect and development events for the rest of 2021 and throughout 2022. We’d like to thank Ravenscroft for their support which will benefit the business community and the economy as strong leadership will be essential for local businesses navigating the post pandemic world,” said Jennifer Houghton, IoD Isle of Man Chair.
Since opening its office in the Isle of Man last summer, Ravenscroft, which also has offices in Guernsey, Jersey and the UK, has made a number of commitments to the community including support of the Chamber of Commerce and sponsorship of the Isle of Man Cricket Association’s CricStart programme, Santa’s Little Helpers and Manx Breast Cancer Support.
“Having studied with the IoD, I know first-hand the difference it can make to senior leaders. The local branch has some exciting plans for the next 18 months and Ravenscroft is delighted to be able to support them. We hope that it will allow us the opportunity to meet other business leaders and talk more about Ravenscroft’s commitment to the Isle of Man and our future plans,” said David Bushe, Director of Ravenscroft in the Isle of Man, who also sits on the committee of IoD Isle of Man.
IoD Isle of Man Executive Officer, Rachel McKenna thanked previous branch sponsor HSBC for its commitment over the last two years.
“We have been incredibly fortunate to have HSBC as our branch sponsor and hope that opportunities may arise in the future for collaboration on specific events. The partnership with Ravenscroft marks an exciting new chapter for IoD Isle of Man and, thanks to their support, I look forward to promoting the autumn events schedule shortly.”
IoD Isle of Man plans to formally welcome the new branch sponsor at a dedicated event for its members in September.
