Join us for an inspiring evening with Wioletta Barwicka-Lofthouse, a board-level leader in global economic development, as she reflects on a remarkable personal and professional journey that has taken her from post-communist Poland to leadership roles across some of the world's most influential financial and development institutions.
Drawing on 25 years of experience spanning banking, financial services, impact investment and economic development, Wioletta will explore the many dimensions of impact and challenge conventional notions of leadership. Through stories from her own career, she will demonstrate that impact is not defined by a job title or position of authority, but by the choices we make and the influence we choose to exercise every day.
The evening will examine how leaders can maximise the impact of their roles, create meaningful change within their organisations and communities, and contribute to more inclusive and equitable outcomes for those they serve.
Following the keynote, Wioletta will be joined in conversation by Vanessa Dal Busco, Chair of the IoD Glass Ceiling Group. Together, they will explore what genuinely moves the needle for women in leadership, the importance of investing time and energy in supporting others, and whether meaningful progress is being made towards breaking down barriers for future generations of women leaders.

Wioletta Barwicka-Lofthouse is a purpose-driven, board-level leader with more than 25 years' experience in banking, financial services and global economic development. She has led transformation, governance and impact investment initiatives across Europe, Asia and Africa, serving as chair and board member for major international financial institutions.
Her work today focuses on social investment in Europe and advancing financial inclusion for women and girls across Sub-Saharan Africa. A passionate advocate for inclusive leadership, she champions diverse boards and sustainable, long-term development that delivers meaningful impact for communities worldwide.
