UK – Turkey Green trade opportunities

The International Trade Group invites all IoD members, their guests and non-members to an event on green trade opportunities with Turkey at the National Liberal Club.

This panel event with reception and networking will address trade opportunities between Turkey and the UK focused on sustainability, climate change and the green economy.

Andrew Lambert

Andrew Lambert CEng FIET MIoD is the Founder and CEO of Electronic Media Services Ltd (EMS) and Founder and COO of Fibre Ltd.

Andrew is a Founder of Fibre Ltd a telecoms company that installs full-fibre broadband to new housing developments.

Dr Elif Selin Calik

Dr Elif Selin Calik is an entrepreneur with a PhD from SOAS, the University of London in Sustainable Energy and ESG Solutions with an academic and journalism background. She worked with the Turkish Presidential Office and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Energy Diplomacy. In 2017, she joined the United Nations Sustainable Economy group to organize COP23 in Germany, BONN. She is currently giving consultancy services for global companies and institutions such as the United Nations and HSBC on Green Energy and ESG policies.

Professor Issa Chaer

Issa is a Professor of thermal energy systems and the director for research and enterprise at the School of the Built Environment and Architecture - London South Bank University. Issa is also a chartered engineer, senior fellow of the Higher Education Academy and fellow of the Institute of Refrigeration with over 120 research articles on energy conversion and heat transfer, renewable and low carbon technologies, remanufacturing, and circular economy.

Stephen Kirk

In addition to being CEO of SKCI, Stephen Kirk is the Board Chair of a number of ESG and sustainability analytics & certification companies. In these roles he specialises in helping companies develop strategies that use technology to transform business models, drive sustainable growth and improve ESG performance.
