Rum with impact Carbon negative business tour

Networking with a sustainable twist

Experience an evening of sustainability at the world's first carbon-negative rum distillery!

Two Drifters Distillery is the world’s first rum distillery to have a carbon negative footprint. Join us for a guided tour of the environmentally friendly facility and listen to business owner Russ Wakeham, as he share insights on achieving B Corp status and carbon negativity.

Russ, one half of Two Drifters distillery, has quite the background. He is a Chemist through and through - bachelor, master and doctor.

But two of his passions have collided in a very spectacular way which sees him and Gemma produce delicious rum with net zero carbon cost to the planet.

Going further Russ consults in the net zero/carbon capture area and has recently also designed and built his own carbon capture hardware through a UK grant.

Russ’ passion for the planet and for rum have led to great things all underpinned by him PhD in chemistry.

We will be welcomed with a drink, which we will take on our tour of the distillery. We will see the whole process of making rum, from start to end with lots of demonstrations and smells along the way! We will then move to the custom bar for tasting, where we will learn the flavour profile of each rum, and identify which mixers would work best. The bar will then be available to us, with cocktails and local lagers and ciders on offer plus some delicious food platters from a local Exeter supplier.

Please do join us for a sustainably focused night, offering networking opportunities and inspiration aplenty!

Please email [email protected] with any dietary requirements after booking.

If you are travelling for this event there are hotels nearby with plenty of parking space!

This unique event is open to all!!
