Join us for an exclusive visit to SONI Ltd, where members will get the chance to go behind the scenes of SONI (System Operator for Northern Ireland) which is Northern Ireland’s Transmission System Operator (TSO).
SONI manages the electricity grid to ensure that power can flow safely, securely, and reliably from where it is generated to where it is needed. They are also transforming the electricity system to deliver a cleaner, cheaper, more secure energy future for homes, farms and businesses across Northern Ireland.
The session will begin with lunch and informal networking, followed by an introduction and some background from the SONI team. Members will then enjoy a guided tour of the facilities and the control room and see first-hand how our electricity grid operates. This is also a great opportunity to connect with fellow IoD members and expand your network.
