Industry leaders, including Pugh Computers Ltd, Lutron and Microsoft, will offer valuable insights through talks, a panel discussion, and a tour of the Experience Centre.

Speakers

Declan Lee-Merion

After a career in Adventure Tourism and Environmental Education Declan made the leap to work in Sustainability. Along the way he has worked across 5 continents, founded social change projects, engaged 40,000+ people in adventurous learning, certified one of the early Welsh B Corps and achieved a Post Graduate Diploma in Outdoor Education. As Sustainability Manager at Bluestone Declan’s role is to keep the business on track for Net Zero 2040. The day job now involves analysing carbon footprints instead of scaling rock faces, but Declan cites nature connection as the theme linking these two areas.

John Williams

A globally recognised expert in bioplastics, John is currently CTO at Aquapak and Senior Partner at S’Investec LLC and is a Chartered Chemist and Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry.

John has worked as Head of Biomaterials at the NNFCC; a Task Force member of Green Alliance Circular Economy Panel; Member of the Industrial Biotech Leadership Forum; an advisor to BEIS and Ellen MacArthur; Member of the BPF Technical & Sustainability Committees; and serves on the governance panel of Zero Carbon Shropshire.

Mark Price

As the Business Development Director at Pugh Computers, Mark is all about building strong partnerships with suppliers, partners and customers. Pugh, a West Wales-based company, specialise in Software Licensing and Modern Workplace technology solutions.

Mark has a passion for technology, leading him to graduate in Computing and IT from the Open University in Wales. He joined Pugh six years ago and has since honed his leadership skills with a CMI Level 7 certificate in Strategic Management and Leadership.

Mark is also a proud IoD Mid Wales Ambassador and recently completed the IoD Accelerated Certificate in Company Direction course.

In his spare time, Mark loves travelling the world cheering on the Wales national football team. He's also a proud father of three, always on the go with family adventures!

Matthew Jacks

Matthew has over 8 years of experience in the lighting control industry. He joined LUTRON in 2016 as the European Experience Centre Manager, and after helping 1000’s of customers to understand the value of lighting controls.

He is now the sales manager for commercial integrators. Matthew’s passion is to educate and support the channel to see the value of lighting controls and connected systems. How they help to not only save energy, but bring functionality and simplicity to our busy everyday lives transforming the way we look, feel and live.
