Glasgow 2026  Leadership and Sport

Sport doesn’t just build athletes – it builds leaders.

In this panel discussion, we will explore how the lessons learned in sport translate into leadership in business and beyond.

The qualities that drive success on the field – resilience, teamwork, accountability and the ability to perform under pressure - are the same traits that define great leadership.

Judith McCleary, CEO Judo Scotland

Peter Ross, Ogilvie Ross, former professional cricketer turned coach

Aileen Campbell, CEO Scottish Women’s Football

Chair: IoD Scotland chair, Julie Ashworth
