Expanding into ASEAN opportunities, challenges, and strategies for UK businesses
Sponsored by Trowers & Hamlins
Join the IoD ASEAN Group for an engaging discussion with experts on ASEAN’s evolving geopolitical landscape, trade agreements, and practical strategies for market entry.
The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) is a dynamic region with a population of over 670 million and a combined GDP of USD 3.8 trillion. As one of the fastest growing economic blocs, ASEAN has seen a surge in foreign direct investment over the past decade - a trend set to continue.
The UK’s accession to the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) has further opened doors for UK businesses, offering new opportunities in trade and investment.
However, navigating ASEAN’s diverse markets requires careful planning, local insights, and a clear understanding of both the opportunities and potential pitfalls.
