This bi-monthly member focused informal social meetup also gives you the opportunity to meet the IoD South ambassadors, a chance to tap into their knowledge, expertise and networks whilst ensuring you are maximising your membership.

Hot on the heels of another successful local business awards initiative, we are delighted to welcome senior representatives from the Spelthorne Business Forum, together with the winner, finalists and judges from this year's Spelthorne Business Plan Competition.

Now in its 12th year, the competition has become one of Surrey's most successful grassroots initiatives supporting aspiring entrepreneurs, helping turn great ideas into successful businesses through mentoring, practical guidance and business support. We'll hear briefly about the impact of the competition and why initiatives like this are so important in nurturing the next generation of business leaders. As experienced directors, we all have a role to play in encouraging, supporting and inspiring those following in our footsteps.

The evening will also mark an important milestone for the IoD Surrey and Berkshire Branch as we welcome the incoming IoD South Region Chair, who will lead the Surrey, Berkshire, Hampshire and Isle of Wight branches. Following five successful years leading the Surrey and Berkshire Branch, Branch Chair Jarmila Yu and Vice Chair Kate Davis will formally conclude their terms of office and introduce the new regional leadership, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter for our director community.
