IoD Lancashire | Brexit: An Insight into Exit Negotiations

14 Sep 2018
Victoria Mill , Burnley

Hear from Wajid Khan, Labour MEP for North West England and Allie Rennison Head of Europe & Trade Policy at IoD at a time when Brexit negotiations are reaching a critical point, with the UK scheduled to depart on 29 March 2019.

Wajid Khan is a full member of the European Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee and Human Rights Committee, and a substitute member of the Budgets Committee. He has been in the European Parliament for 12 months. Wajid was born in Burnley and served as a Labour Councillor and a Senior Lecturer at UCLan prior to taking his current role. Wajid returns to his old stomping ground to provide reflections and insights into the Brexit negotiations. Hear an insider's honest view on what has been happening around the negotiation table.

Allie Rennison, is Head of Europe & Trade Policy, and the Institute’s expert on Brexit. She devises recommendations and represents the voice of members on EU reform matters, helping to provide the link between business and Government on increasing international trade.

There will be time for a lively Q&A session, so come along to ask your burning questions on matters such as the customs union, the likely cost of the so-called “divorce bill”, and other key issues for business leaders.
