Speakers
Susie Appleby
Having grown up in Newcastle Upon Tyne, Susie went from sewing the numbers on the back of her shirt to performing at two Women's Rugby World Cups for England. Susie Appleby has had quite a unique and impressive career spanning high performance sport as well as law enforcement. She brings a blend of discipline, adaptability, and emotional intelligence to every environment. With over 20 years experience coaching in elite sport, alongside two decades as a police officer, she has developed a deep understanding of human performance, behavioural insight, and the practical strategies required to create real and sustainable change. Susie built two Premiership women’s rugby squads from the ground up, developing them into Championship contenders.
Susie's passion for developing people has led to a natural transition from the field into the boardroom. As a former England international rugby player and coach, she understands what it takes to lead under pressure, build trust, and perform at the highest level. The parallels between elite sport and business are significant, and today Susie draws on both worlds, blending lived experience with her professional coaching expertise.
