Barnaby has a broad background helping companies of all sizes innovate, encompassing entrepreneurship and operational roles in both small and large enterprises such as Green & Black’s, Coca Cola and the London 2012 Olympics.
In 2010 he co-founded BlikBook, a VC backed education technology business that used machine learning to create predictive analytics for top universities around the world. After growing BlikBook to offices in 3 countries and presence in over 20 it was sold to Civitas Learning.
Since then he has been with Google Cloud helping companies adopt cloud technologies to help them overcome the challenges they face both externally and internally. He is passionate about technology as an enabler which people can put first when decision making.
Paul Holden, UK Director of Enterprise Business, 8x8
Paul has worked in the communications industry for over 25 years and has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience within the IT and communications sectors. Having worked for large global organisations as well as start-up businesses, Paul has seen the industry from many different angles and this has given him a strong understanding of the market place. Paul is currently leading the enterprise sales team for global cloud communications leader 8x8. Paul is a self-proclaimed advocate of cloud based technology and knows first-hand the benefits it can bring to companies.
Dr Lucy Green, Managing Director, Larato
Dr Lucy Green has proven expertise in finding and developing the hidden potential that lies within channels and businesses. Such opportunities are not always easy to spot, especially when juggling the many demands of today’s robust marketplaces. Simon Dear, CEO, Tangent International Ltd
Tangent are a privately held Technology recruiter. They currently work with customers in over 100 countries and have regional centres in the UK, USA and Dubai, with hubs in Mexico, China and Australia. Simon runs all of the Tangent operations in both the UK and abroad. He is responsible for strategy and growth business wide, but still enjoys working with Tangents growing customer base. He has 20 years ICT recruitment experience, working on 5 continents, and maintains an ultra-keen interest in finding local solutions to international opportunities. Educated at Brighton College and Reading University – his first foray into recruitment was the mainstream IT recruiter, Parity. He was subsequently hired by Tangent to develop operations in Asia and then the USA.
Gautam Sahgal, Chief Operating Officer, Perkbox
Gautam Sahgal, former CEO at Thomson Local, has been Perkbox’s Chief Operating Officer since the beginning of 2016. At Perkbox, he draws upon his extensive operational and transactional experience to is help the team to create the infrastructure for increasingly strong growth in the UK, and one day around the world. Gautam speaks Italian and German and is passionate about having fun by creating and working with winning teams.
Frank Bennett, Deputy Chair of the Cloud Industry Forum and a Director of the Federation Against Software Theft
Frank Bennett is a Member of the IoD and Fellow Royal Society of Arts. Frank holds the Financial Times Non-Executive Director Professional Diploma and is an advisor to Boards on cyber security and data privacy. With more than 35 years’ industry experience he has been involved in every evolution of computing from mainframe to cloud computing and an early cloud pioneer with development of a SaaS application in 2004. He has authored books for Microsoft and Google.
