Sara Hanna joined the IoD Advisory Service in 1997.
She advises on employment, company, business and general commercial law, including terms and conditions of business, buying and selling businesses, company formations, directors’ responsibilities and liabilities, directors’ service agreements, employment contracts, H&S policy and procedures, dismissals, redundancies and discrimination (the list is not exhaustive).
She read law at the University of Warwick before qualifying as a solicitor.
She is a practising solicitor and as such is authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulations Authority.
Since 2000, Sara has had her private practice based in London advising clients involved in a wide range of businesses. Prior to that, she was a partner in another law firm in the City of London.
In her private practice she advises both individuals and SMEs on the broad range of issues that are involved in the establishment and day to day operation of companies, LLPs and partnerships. Her previous experience includes being appointed as company secretary for several small companies.
Sara is a Member of the Employment Lawyers Association and the Law Society. In her employment law work she has the advantage of advising both employers and employees.
Sara has spoken at numerous events and she lectures to company directors and company secretaries on their roles and responsibilities. She was a School Governor for a number of years and then held the post of Chairman until her term of office expired.
