Chris is a practising solicitor with a commercial law practice and holds a practising certificate with the Law Society.

Chris advises on all aspects of corporate law, including company secretarial, corporate governance and director’s duties, company formations, buying and selling businesses, joint ventures, partnerships and shareholder agreements. In addition, he also has experience of advising on director’s service agreements.

He has extensive experience of banking and finance matters and in particular advises companies on raising debt and/or equity finance. Specific areas of expertise include structuring banking finance and security and also venture capital/private equity deals.

He also advises on a wide range of commercial agreements including business terms and conditions, agency, distribution and supply agreements. He has experience of dealing with information technology and internet-related matters and agreements particularly relating to e-commerce. His experience also extends to intellectual property matters, including developing, exploiting and enforcing intellectual property rights.

He also deals with insolvency-related matters including legal aspects of administration, receivership and liquidation of companies and also has experience of pre-pack acquisition of assets.

In private practice, Chris advises SMEs on a broad range of company, commercial, banking and insolvency matters.
